Answers To The Most Frequently Asked Questions
Energy Function Band answer the questions that you are most likely to ask us. From background filler music, dress codes and performance lengths, to public liability insurance and public showcase queries, we attempt to provide the information that you need.
How long do Energy perform for?
2 x one hour, or 3 x 40 minutes, amendments to this can be discussed.
Do Energy have public liability insurance?
Yes, we have an insurance policy that covers us up to the value of 5m pounds.
Do you provide a Disco/DJ Service?
To keep the party going when we're not performing, Energy have a carefully chosen Spotify playlist of popular upbeat party hits from all eras. This effectively provides a DJ service, saving you spending more on your entertainment.
We also have a carefully chosen ‘Chill Out’ Spotify Playlist of laid back love songs and ballads that we can play at more appropriate times, such as during a wedding breakfast.
Do Energy perform publicly?

Do you have your own lighting system?
Yes, we always provide a comprehensive lighting system, including multiple floodlights that are synced together, moving head lights, and multi coloured wall washer lights for maximum atmosphere. All included in our Gold Package.
Do you always use the same musicians & singer?
Yes, the four of us have been together since 2016, and all of us make every effort possible to make every single Energy booking. Also, Phil & Sharon live together so barring exceptional and highly unlikely circumstances will always organise and perform every booking together.
What is Energy's dress code?
We dress smart casual, but if you would like us to dress in smart blacks, ties, shoes, and party dress please let us know and we will be only happy to oblige, see our gallery for pictures of our different attires.
Do you have male vocals in your band?
Yes, There are two male backing singers, who sing lead vocals on various tracks.
What sound system & equipment do you use?
We use our own high quality 3000 Watt QSC sound system, Allen & Heath digital desk, and Shure, Senheiser and various microphones for the best sound possible. We are sensitive to the requirements of our clients and the venues where we perform and play at sensible volume levels.
Are we happy to learn a first dance?
Providing we can replicate the original arrangement closely enough and have sufficient notice, we will be able to learn a first dance for you.
When did Energy form?
Energy formed and performed our first showcase in 2010. Our first professional function was in 2011.
How do Energy have such a full sound?
Our standard four piece line up is a very powerful and full sound, but to allow us to perform songs with more complicated arrangements as authentically as possible we use professional grade backing tracks on some of our songs.
How Far do Energy Travel?
Energy is based in Norfolk, we are however happy to travel throughout most of East Anglia including Suffolk, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Lincolnshire, Hertfordshire & Bedfordshire. Enquire with us to get a quote.
